I need your help,
My sd card died for my MaxiDAS DS708, serial DS003Q001257.
I am retired and only use my scanner for my family's needs and I do not have spare money to buy new updates. I do not need an update, I only want what I already paid for, the original contents of my sd card to work. Please tell me how.

Have you ever backup old software? If yes, you can use that; otherwise, we can only advise you to buy the update.
